St Comgall’s Church, Antrim
Mission Sunday on 19th October was a resounding success and a very enjoyable day. Special thanks to the Antrim Branch for hosting.
Fr Liam Dunne SVD was the main celebrant. He said ‘It is with thanks to the ever-living Holy Spirit that missionaries all over the world began to call out with needs, the needs of their local church, and you the Holy men and women at home and elsewhere, found appropriate ways to respond to the needs that they were calling out for. So, it is that, we, sisters and brothers, priests, volunteers and catechists come today to pray for you and to bless you, each one of you. How lovely it is to see and hear what the word of God has to say to us today.’ Fr Liam’s words resonate with all of us in Apostolic Work, Down & Connor.
Also present were Fr John O’Laverty (Spiritual Director), Canon Sean Emerson PP, Fr Derek Kearney SMA, Fr Joe Egan SMA, Fr Christopher Emokhare SMA, Fr Justin SVD, Fr Fonsie Doran CSSR, Fr Paul McMahon SSC, Fr Nicky Hennity SPS, Fr Michael O’Sullivan M.Afr, Fr Peter O’Reilly M.Afr, Mr Francis Doole (MC).
Mass was followed by a beautiful meal at the Dunsilly Hotel, where plenty of chat and catching up with fellow members took place.
